It can be challenging to navigate all the many supportive service options available to older adults. Information and Assistance Services provides accurate information and helpful linkages to many programs and services.
Eastern Area Adult Services has a certified Aging and Disability Information Specialist, Jodi Trovato, at the Turtle Creek Senior Center. Information and assistance is offered by walk in, by appointment, by telephone at 412-824-8660, or by email.
The Center utilizes Wellsky database to research up-to-date resources. The most common requests for information are transportation, home delivered meals, rent/property rebates, and legal services.
Service organizations frequently make presentations at the Turtle Creek Senior Center to provide information to the participants – check our calendar for upcoming programs. Recent presentation topics have included accessing food stamps, veterans’ benefits, and disaster preparedness. Brochures and pamphlets are available for the public on community resources.
